How to get a Library Card

Who is eligible? 

Any residents living within the Tri-City Public Library District boundaries can receive a card. That includes Dawson, Mechanicsburg and Buffalo. 

What information do I need to bring with me? 

To register, bring in a form of photo identification and a piece of mail listing your current address attached to your name.
For youth age 17 and under, Parents/Legal Guardian must be present with the child in order to register them for a library card. 

What will I have to fill out to get a card? 

No application needed. Provide your photo ID with your current address and staff will do the rest at the circulation desk. Registering for a library card only takes a minute or two. 

    How much does it cost? 

    Library cards are FREE

    How often do I need to renew my card? 

    Library cards need to renewed every three years from their issue date. The expiration date is on the back of your card. You will need to provide proof of identification and current mailing address attached to your name during renewal.

    How do I replace a stolen/lost card? 

    To replace a library card, the patron will need to show photo ID with current address listed. There is no charge for a replacement card.
